Mid Century Sterling Pennino Rhinestone Brooch and Earrings
Item Details
A sterling silver brooch and clip earring set from New York jewelry manufacturer Pennino, known for fine craftsmanship in the Italian tradition. During WWII the firm often made its cocktail style jewelry out of sterling. This set features both colorless and ruby red rhinestones. The brooch is designed in a distinctive tiered pattern with a whorl of leaves and fleurettes along the outer edge. The reverse of each earring is marked ‘Pennino, Sterling, Pat. Pend.’ while the brooch is marked only ‘Pennino Sterling.’ The total weight, inclusive of all materials, is 1.630 ozt.
