Item Details
A handwoven and embroidered Anatolian area rug. This tribal wool and goat hair rug is cross-stitched in a palette of burgundy, burnt sienna, ivory, and cerulean. It features a densely patterned geometric panel design, which incorporates numerous tribal guls and motifs. These include ram’s horns, serpent motifs, and interlocking soldier patterns. Selvedges are double overcast. Ends finish with short burgundy kilim skirts tied off with short undyed warp fringe made of goat hair. The rug is unlabeled.
