Signed Hand-Knotted Bokhara Area Rug
Item Details
A signed hand-knotted Bokhara area rug. The rug features twelve elephant foot style medallions, in two rows of six, down the center of the field in a palette of cream, deep yellow, and light blue on a deep blue field. The field is enclosed by a wide compound border that features a lattice diamond patter throughout in a complementary a palette. The rug is signed to one end in deep blue and the rug has an overcast edge with a short Kilim skirt and a wool fringe to either end. Unmarked.
