Antique Monogrammed Chinese Export Tea Set
Item Details
An antique, hand painted Chinese export tea set with the monogram ’H’’. This rose colored set includes a teapot, six teacups, and seven saucers. Each piece has decoration with several varieties of flowers, birds, and butterflies rendered in polychrome enamels with gilt accents. The teapot features a domed lid and helmet shaped body with a curved handle reminiscent of English pots of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. The teacups have scalloped rims and kicked handles. This set matches item number 17LEX131-070 in this sale.

- light wear to gilding; small chips throughout; saucers are not uniform
