Original 1957 Oil Painting on Canvas "Jazz Session"
Item Details
An original 1957 oil painting on canvas titled Jazz Session. The painting features a room filled with musical instruments scattered around a wide piano. The walls of the interior space are painted in thoughtful shades of mustard and forest green, and a large piece of abstract art hangs on the wall. The painting is dated and signed illegibly, though the last name appears to read Givell, in brown to the lower right. It is also dated and titled to the verso. It is presented in a wooden frame with rustic blonde and white finishes, white linen lining, and a hanging wire.
Condition
- a few small scuffs to painting’s surface. Canvas has shifted slightly within frame.
