An original 1976 ink and watercolor painting on heavyweight watercolor paper, titled Beer Can Study #1. The painting depicts an expansive view of a New Mexican landscape. Striated hills line the horizon, and a series of squat buildings are scattered across the valley below the hills. The painting is titled, dated March 2, 1976, and initialed in black ink to the lower right. It is also titled and labeled ‘New Mexico’ in ink to the verso. It is presented behind non-glare glass in a wooden frame with striped silver tone finish and a hanging wire.
