A hand-made needlepoint wool rug. This small area rug features an Aubusson-style floral design in a palette of camel, dusty rose, salmon, shades of brown, and sage. It begins with an oval floral cameo at the center of a camel-colored field with phases in pale rose and salmon. Roses and other flowers, vines, and foliage roam across borders and nestle in corner cameos. The field is framed by a broken outer guard border featuring tan and brown scrollwork. Edges are serged, with strips of mesh fabric sewn along the undersides. The rug is unlabeled.
