A.L. M'patila Zimbabwean Shona Stone Bust and Kenyan Wooden Carvings

A collection of carved African art from Zimbabwe and Kenya. Featured are four pieces, including a black Shona stone bust by A.L. M’patila. The sculpture depicts a woman wearing a necklace and earrings, signed to the base of the left shoulder. Also featured is carved Kenyan ebonized wood wall mask depicting a Maasai warrior; it is marked to the verso with a sticker that reads ‘Genuine Besmo Product, Hand Carved in Kenya’. The set also includes two similar wooden wall carvings, each depicting a figure in side profile.
Condition
- small chips and scratching to bust; overall light surface wear, dust and debris present to all items.
