A hand-carved Chinese Chen Chu octagonal accent rug. The rug features a central medallion in dark blue, light blue, light pink and orange on a cream field. The field is surrounded by a compound border that features a floral pattern throughout in a complementary field. It has an overcast edge, a short Kilim skirt, and a wool fridge along the edge. It has a canvas backing that is marked ‘Chen Chu, The Tientsin Series, hand made all- wool Chinese rugs’.
