An oil painting on canvas of a girl teasing a dog. This work features a girl wearing a long red dress, sitting on the edge of a chair, and dangling a piece of food above the pet dog’s head. The dog perches up on its hind legs sniffing the piece of food in the girl’s hand. The painting is signed to the lower right with an emblem that combines the letters ‘J’ and ‘G’. It is presented in a gold-tone and brown wood frame. A descriptive label from W.T. Burger Company is present to the verso.

- painting has been relined with linen; spots of paint loss along edges of painting; some air bubbles present in lower right area of painting; toning throughout entire painting; dust collected throughout surface of painting; minor wear in frame includes small chips, stains, and discoloration throughout.
