Mid-Century Portraits on Paper Including Benn and Richard Loederer

A set of three mid-century illustrations on paper. Featured is a charcoal drawing on off-white transfer paper by listed Polish-French artist Benn (Bençion Rabinowicz, 1905-1989). The piece depicts the portrait of a man with white hair and glasses wearing a suit and tie. The drawing is signed in charcoal to the lower right. Also featured is a gouache painting on cream stationery paper by listed New York artist Richard Loederer (1894-1981). The piece depicts the portrait of a balding man in a suit and tie; it is titled Israel London to the lower center and signed in black paint to the lower center left. The paper includes Loederer’s name printed to the verso. The set also includes a 1942 brown ink drawing on paper depicting a similar man in a suit and tie. It is signed and dated in ink to the lower center; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. The works are presented unframed.
