A G. Ruggeri replica statuette after the 17th century sculpture titled David by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The subject is David, Sheppard from the biblical Old Testament first book of Samuel. It depicts David about to throw the stone with a sling that will slay Goliath, the biblical giant. David’s armor and helmet, given to him by King Saul of Israel, lay at his feet. The sculpture is compose of an off-white resin and is signed ‘G. Ruggeri’ on the base. The piece rests on a black square pedestal.
