An oil painting on canvas titled Boats in Harbor by Peruvian artist Martha Cristel (b. 1960). This work depicts a harbor scene with multiple sailboats floating on a turquoise body of water that surrounds Mediterranean architecture. This piece is signed by the artist to the lower right corner. Informational gallery and biographical labels from W. T. Burger are affixed to the verso. Presented without glass, beneath an off-white linen mat, housed in a gilt frame. Cristel is a self taught artist based in Lima, Peru, whose impressionist style landscapes are painted with self-created tools such as brushes and palette knives.
