Hendrik Breedveld Oil Painting on Canvas Forest Landscape
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a forest landscape by listed Dutch artist Hendrik Breedveld (b. 1918). Portrayed with loose quick brushstrokes, this work features a creek winding through a forest with a thick canopy of leaves hovering above. The painting is signed ‘H. Breedveld’ to the lower left. It is presented in a white wood frame with gold-tone accents and carved foliate motifs. A couple descriptive labels are present to the verso.
Condition
- small dimple in upper right area of canvas; some wear in frame includes paint loss, scratches, stains, and discoloration throughout.
