An antique cast iron nodder. The piece features a mule drawn carriage with a replica Happy Hooligan in the driver seat. The nodder is painted with green, red and white. The Happy Hooligan character was from a comic strip from the 1800s and considered one of the first fully developed modern comic strip characters. The Happy Hooligan was an amiable tramp that wore a tin can hat. Circa 1910.
