A pair of Swiss music boxes. This pair includes a Swiss_ Reuge_ wood inlay music box showing a mandolin and lute amid music paper, leaves and flowers, that plays Torna a Surriento and is marked ‘Reuge’ to the backside. The second music box is constructed out of Europeon figural walnut and plays The Merry Widow. A sticker to the backside reads ‘Lo Veuve joyeuse (The Merry Widow) Sang Viennois (Vienese blood) 6467CE’.

Condition

- shows wear consistent with use and age, the walnut box shows scratches on the lid.
