A gouache painting on Arches paper of a still life. This painting depicts a wooden chair rendered from the side, which is covered with a dark gray coat that has been slung across. To the edges of the paper are light washes of earthen tones, which push the central composition forward. To the lower left corner of the composition is a handwritten artist signature. The painting is presented on a gray backing and is placed behind glass in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
