An antique crayon portrait of a young couple. Crayon portraits were created by adding accents by hand, usually using pastels, watercolors, or charcoal, to accent and bring life to an antique black and white portrait photograph. This photograph has been accented with charcoal. It is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with cast surface embellishments, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire. The name ‘P.O. Edwards’ is written in pencil to the lower left, though it is unclear whether this is the name of the artist or subject.
