A signed artist’s proof mixed media etching on paper by very well-listed English abstract artist James Cox (born 1956), titled Kia II. The majority of the print is a deep etching, though to its lower center edge the piece has offset lithograph and gold foil accents. The print has a textured red and black field with a geometric form to its lower edge and abstracted script across the composition. The print is signed, titled, and labeled as an artist’s proof in graphite to the lower margin. It is double-matted in black and white and is presented behind acrylic glass in a black composite frame with a hanging wire. The piece was purchased from London Contemporary Art, and a certificate of authenticity from the organization is included.
