Novelty Liquor Decanter Collection

A collection of three novelty liquor decanters. The ceramic decanters glazed and hand-painted, and include one shaped like a uniformed soldier, which is marked ‘Irish Mist’ at the base, with a label marked ‘Irish Soldier in the Irish Brigade-Austrian Army Circa 1750’ to the back. Another decanter is rectangular, featuring high-relief images of men playing board games in a pub, and is marked ‘W. A. Lacey Straight Bourbon Whiskey’ and ‘Faro Bank at the Old Orient Saloon Bisbee, Arizona Circa 1889’. The underside of the decanter is marked ‘© 1975 Haas Brothers’. A music box decanter is shaped like a pitcher with the stopper shaped like a man’s head, wearing a top hat. It features a cut-away to the center with a miniature tap dancer, which twirls when the music box is wound up. The decanter is marked ‘Little Brown Jug’ to the front, and the winding mechanism is in a recessed area underneath the jug, with no maker’s marks.
