Antique Cross Stitch Sampler
Item Details
A framed cross stitch sampler. The sampler features a hand stitched red roofed house with trees and a fence and statement< ’ Through this wide open gate none come too early and none stay too late.’ It is presented behind glass in a gold rubbed wood frame with a red accent. The back is fixed with a sawtooth hanger and a taped chronicle history of the sampler’s maker, Ellen (Ella) Minahan Reebe (1870 – 1956) through the last person to have it MK Garner from 1968.
