Semi-Antique Persian Hand-Knotted Bijar Wool Area Rug

Item Details

A semi-antique Persian hand-knotted wool area rug attributed to the Bijar region. There is a central medallion in off-white with pendants against a dark blue lozenge field which is overall covered with filler motifs. The spandrels are in red with similar motifs. Enclosing the field is an off-white main border with the turtle design with overlapping accents. Either end finishes with a very short fringe.
