Item Details

An antique, mid to late-19th century, wall clock. with partial reverse painting on glass. It features a black painted frame with the dial behind glass. The dial is surrounded by an églomisé reverse partial hand painted scene on glass depicting a young man and woman sitting together in a rural setting. The clock can be opened from the front as well as the verso, in order to reveal the movement.

Condition

- untested; areas of loss; included four pinecone weighs, however, chains are tangled
