Item Details

A mid-century oil painting on canvas, signed ‘Heller’. The piece depicts the portrait a female figure with a short bob hairstyle and green dress seated in an armchair set against a background draped with yellow curtains. The work is signed in red paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a gold tone and green wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso, as well as a vintage framing label from Frank J. Bimmerle of Louisville.

Condition

- surface scratches and areas of craquelure throughout painting; staining with drips along left side of canvas and frame; wear and chipping to frame; frame joints are not fully flush; backing paper is torn.
