An early 20th century spindle-back armchair with a marquetry splat. The stained, wooden frame features a curved crest rail above an urn-shaped, floral marquetry splat flanked by spindles. The curved arms continue to scrolled handholds over an upholstered seat with metal tacks along the edges. The chair rises on turned, splayed legs joined by spindled stretchers and ending in ball feet.
