Assorted Trinket Boxes Including Jan Barboglio
Item Details
A group of assorted trinket boxes including Jan Barboglio. The box with the copper exterior depicting Dutch village scenes and fanciful embellishments has a wood interior. This rectangular box with a hinged lid is unmarked. The leather covered piece with rounded corners and a floral painting at the top opens to a blue cushioned, tufted interior. The piece is opened with a gold tone ring on the lid and closes with a metal and leather latch marked ‘Brevete – S.G.D.G.’ The steel box with a beetle on the lid is marked ‘Jan Barboglio’ to the interior.
Condition
- some oxidation to the copper; staining to cloth in leather box; wear at edges of leather item; some scratches, discoloration to Barboglio item.
