A hand-knotted Chinese area rug. The rug features a central medallion in light blue and navy that is on a cream field. The field is populated by floral palmettes with embellished floral and vine spandrels in a matching palette as the central medallion. The field is enclosed by a compound border that features a fret key patterned guard border and a main border that features a diamond pattern with floral medallions within each shape in a matching color palette. The rug has overcast edges and a short wool fringe. Unmarked.
