A Southeast Asian style mixed media painting of a woman. This painting depicts a woman dressed in a traditional, foliate robe standing in profile beneath a blossoming tree, clutching at a hand fan while dressed with an ornate crown. The landscape below her is defined by loose pools of pigment reinforced with topographic linework. The painted composition is affixed with cut and painted fabric in a salmon pink color, which is bunched together along the robe. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature appearing to read ‘C. Jelqum’. The painting is presented in a bronze tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
