Silver Plate Compote With Dutch Scene

A silver plate compote made by Derby S.P. Co. of Shelton, Connecticut with a finely chased design to the bowl depicting a woman and child on a dock gazing toward a town in the distance. The scene is surrounded with wide floral garland and scrolled leaf border. The ornate base is embossed with musicians, scrolled ornament and cartouches. Maker’s mark to the bottom.

EBTH certifies this item is from the private collection of personal property formerly owned by Dr. Robert H. Schuller.

- fair, shows some wear to the silver finish.
