A machine woven Varamin style area rug. The rug features a lattice pattern throughout of large and small floral palmettes, vines, lancet leaves and floral motifs in a palette of cream, deep blue, black, and bright yellow on a red field. The field is enclosed by a compound border that features cartouches with ornamental finials along either end and a cloud band border throughout on a black background. It has an overcast edge with a short fringe to either end. Unmarked.
