A set of three offset lithograph posters featuring the artwork of American artist Patricia Buckley Moss (born 1933). All three posters feature the center artwork surrounded by a red border and black ground. The artist’s name is printed in red above, and a title or caption is printed below. The first is printed ‘P. Buckley Moss A Retrospective, Roanoke Museum of Fine Arts March 2 through April 14 1985’. The featured work is a circular view on a colonial market scene. The second poster is printed ‘Minnesota, Land of Lakes’ and features an archway into a rural winter scene in which people ice skate on a frozen farm lake and a horse pulls a sleigh through the snow. Both of the first two posters are signed by the artist in gold tone pen to the lower center and dated ‘1989’, as well as inscribed ‘To Sharon’. The final poster is printed ‘Pennsylvania’ and features a country road in the winter being travelled by people in horse-drawn carriages. It is signed in plate to the lower right corner and by hand to the lower center. All three pieces are presented behind glass in gold tone frames and wired for hanging.
Condition
- “Roanoke Museum” is buckled in frame; “Pennsylvania” has scratch to upper right side; all three have minor wear to frames.
