A limited edition offset lithograph on paper featuring imagery from an earlier painting titled Balladeer by listed artist John Holyfield (American, b. 1969), dated 1998. Depicted is a young couple on a porch swing. The mans a guitar and is placing a flower being the woman’s ear. Number 1,616 in an edition of 1950. The piece is numbered, titled, and signed by the artist in gold-tone ink to the lower portion of the print. The hand-written signature is over the artist’s in-plate signature. To the lower margin is publication information from the Holyfield Studio. Presented as a loose work without a frame or mat. Holyfield is known for his African American genre scenes with a focus on family, spirituality, and culture.
