Silver Plate Spoons Featuring William Briggs & Co.
Item Details
A group of seven silver plate spoons. This includes four 1847 Rogers Bros teaspoons with figural cherub designs with tipped handles; they are marked ‘1847 R.B.A1’ to the upper back of the handles and ‘Baxter’ to the lower back of the handles. There is a William Briggs & Co. teaspoon with a tipped style handle, a Peninsula Plate souvenir spoon with an enameled image of the Town Hall of Wingham, and an unmarked souvenir spoon with an enameled ‘Barbados Rum’ design.
Condition
- minor surface wear including faint markings and minimal tarnishing; scratches and dints to “Barbados Rum” enamel; minor rusting.
