A set of two mid-century drypoint etchings on paper, each depicting a monochromatic cityscape. Featured is an etching by Arthur L. Cherry depicting London’s Westminster Bridge, the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben. It is signed in graphite to the lower right, matted in off-white and presented under glass in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Also featured is an Edward Sharland (1884 – 1967) etching of a grand European building with austere walls and center spire. The print is signed in graphite to the lower right, set under cream French matting and presented under glass in a yellow and black wooden frame

Condition

- to Fair; toning and foxing to prints and matting; buckling to paper and matting of Cherry print; acid burns to Sharland print along matte lines; edge wear and scuffing to frames; slight residue to glass; frames would benefit from cleaning; Sharland print does not include hanging hardware; small holes and stains to backing paper.
