An offset lithograph poster on paper titled Sisters each one teach one featuring the work by listed American artist Varnette P. Honeywood (1950 – 2010), published by Black Lifestyles Fine Art in 1991. The piece depicts an image printed after the original painting titled Lilies of the Nile, originally created in 1990. The print is signed in plate to the lower right of the composition. Below the image, the title reading ‘Sisters each one teach one’ is printed in bold gray letters. To the lower margin, publishing information is included. The item remains unframed.

Honeywood is best known for her vibrant representations involving African American subjects. Additionally, she created multiple book illustrations and created the set for the popular television show ‘The Cosby Show’. She acquired her artistic training from Spelman College and posteriorly her masters degree in education from the University of Southern California. Subsequently, she socially contributed as an art teacher in various institutions including the Joint Educational Project and the central Juvenile Hall.
