An original Impressionistic oil painting on panel, initialed illegibly by an artist to the lower left. The painting depicts a wide butte cast in a deep purple shadow rising high above a shrubby, dry Southwestern landscape. The painting is completed in loose, wide strokes of paint. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with cast inner embellishments, gold tone finish, white linen lining, and a hanging wire. A sticker from Trailside Galleries in Jackson Hole, Wyoming is attached to the verso.
