An original oil portrait painting on canvas of a peasant man by listed Italian artist Roberto Figerio (ca. 19th-20th century). This mottled artwork depicts an older man wearing a flopping knit cap, his lips pursed together and his gaze cast downward. The loosely-rendered figure appears to hold a piece of straw between his teeth. This painting is signed to the lower right and is presented within a yellow wooden frame with a wire for hanging.

- heavy denting and wear to frame; piece is lightly grimy and dusty throughout.
