Unusual Antique Japanese Arita Porcelain Bowl

Item Details

An unusual antique Japanese Arita porcelain large bowl. It features an overall hand painted blue design with oversized flowers and a blooming tree. On one side of the edge, there is a scalloped design; however, to the opposite side there is only one scallop divot. No marks to indicate a manufacturer.

Condition

- to the underside a pervious owner wrote in marker “#829 Imari-Arita Bowl-Meiji (Early) Period-1868-1912”
