A Karastan Indo-Kirman machine made wool area rug. Features a cream tone ground to the central ground, with a small central floral medallion surrounded by a field of floral, palmette and vining motifs. Includes a major border with a black ground with palmettes, vining and floral motifs, surrounded with two minor borders with a tan ground and cinnamon toned outlining and a small inner black ground border. The design was inspired by a rug woven circa 1910, and features colors such as indigo, soft blues, peaches, golds, lavender and sage.
