Item Details
A hand-stitched patchwork textile. This piecework piece is made in a four by four block of squares in the log cabin quilting pattern. This piece uses a variety of found fabrics cut into strips and stitched together in concentric squares that are divided diagonally into dark- and light-colored pieces. This creates a larger pattern of diamonds within the textile. This piece may have once been part of a quilt, but it now presented mounted behind glass in a wood frame that is wired for hanging.
Condition
- scratching to the frame; unfinished and fraying edges; areas where fabric has worn through and fabric layer beneath is visible.
