A hand-knotted Tekke Bokhara area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of teal, black, ivory, and tan. It features a classic lattice pattern containing Tekke guls interspersed with Chemche bow and arrow guls over a teal field. Framing the field are sixteen wraparound borders over teal, including starburst and diamond patterns. These are bookended at the top and bottom by a pair of horizontal panels containing a diamond-lattice pattern. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at top and bottom with short kilim skirts and knotted ivory wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
