East Asian Rubbing of Drumming Woman Wearing Traditional Dress
Item Details
An East Asian rubbing of a woman in traditional dress playing a drum. This impression depicts a standing woman in a tall headdress, about to strike a drum she holds at her waist. The original carving is captured in gold tone crayon on black paper. It is cut out and mounted to handmade paper with the artist’s signature and publisher’s seal to the upper right and left center of the composition. The work is presented under a black mat and glass, in a black tone wood frame with a triangle hook for hanging to the verso.

- edge wear to frame and mat; some residue underneath glass; joints of frame separating.
