Model Racing Yacht of the Shamrock
Item Details
A model ship of the 1899 racing yacht, the Shamrock. This wood and textile model is depicting the vessel with its sails up, the top part of its hull painted a dark green. This piece is mounted against a world map with the ship’s statistics written in white script to the lower left and the text ‘Shamrock 1899’ underneath the model. This object is presented without glass in a stained wooden frame with black detailing with a map-patterned mat and hanging hardware to the verso.
Condition
- fair; fading to mat; some peeling and nicks to maps; scuffs and wear to frame.
