A Victorian style oval dining table with glass top and gesso finish base. This table features an oval painted top with hand-painted flowers and removable glass protective cover panel, with beveled and gold painted edge above an intricately detailed base. The base includes a flowing design of carved shell and foliate aprons rising up on Flemish scroll legs with bead and scrolling accent details, ending in scroll and peg feet. The table base has an applied gesso finish which has been carved and then painted to add depth and dimension to the details and it includes an X-stretcher with scroll details and a raised bouquet design finial.
