"Shaker Ridge" Dresser by Kincaid

A pine dresser with handkerchief drawers and mirror, from the Shaker Ridge line by Kincaid Furniture. The dresser has a medium pine finish with visible knots and Shaker style round pulls throughout. The framed oval mirror rests on a carved support atop two handkerchief drawers. Beneath carved ivy edging at the apron, eight drawers are arranged in two columns. The entire structure rises on block feet. Matches two nightstands in lot 17IND111-096, linked below.

J. Wade Kincaid began making furniture in 1924 at age 14, and in 1946 he founded Kincaid Furniture in Hickory Park, North Carolina. At first making cedar chests, the company soon expanded into bedroom furniture, which they continue to build today. Their founder was posthumously inducted into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame in 1996.
