Antique Victorian Pictorial Bible

An antique Victorian family pictorial bible, published by O.A. Browning & Co, Potter, Chase & Co, and J.H. Buckmaster, circa late 19th century. This bible features intaglio leather cover boards with gilt decoration and raised bands on the spine. It features black and white and hand-colored plates throughout, as well as a Holy Matrimony certificate, and pages for noting births and deaths in the family. Cards included in the bible note the bible belonged to the McKibben family, presented by R.T. McKibben.

Condition

- both boards are detached.
- spine leather cover is coming loose.
- Discoloration and foxing to pages.
- Heavy wear to leather.
