Reproduction Resin Figure After Pio Fedi's "The Rape of Polyxena"

A reproduction resin figure in white after a circa 1866 sculpture by listed Italian artist Pio Fedi (1816 – 1892). The piece, titled The Rape of Polyxena, depicts the mythical Greek scene of Achilles carrying away King Priam’s daughter Polyxena after killing her brother Troilus, as another female figure attempts to intervene. The work is unsigned and includes a layer of felt to the underside.

- minor wear, markings, staining and dust throughout; hilt of sword broken off.
