This print depicts a young woman in ancient Roman style dress kneeling at a statue of the cherubic Cupid that is placed in a shaded grove. She has one breast exposed and her hands held together as if in prayer. Incense is burning in an urn behind her and filling the trees with smoke. At the base of the statue she has laid an urn, blue fabric, and two doves in offering. It is signed by the artist to the lower right corner margin and printed with publisher’s information to the upper center. A label to the verso states the work’s title and original artist. It is presented with a floral silk mat, behind glass, and in a gold tone wood frame with a sawtooth bracket for hanging.
