A giclee on paper of an original painting titled The Challenge by marine artist John O’Hara Cosgrave (1908 – 1968). Signed in plate to the lower right corner, the print depicts a large sailing ship navigating across the rough waves of the ocean. The piece is presented in a stained wood frame with a wire for hanging purposes and a decal with the name of the print present to the verso. Cosgrave is best known for his magazine illustrations that were published in Life and Fortune Magazines.

- dirt and toning throughout image; small dot stains at the top left; slight abrasion to frame.
