An early 20th-century etching on paper after listed artist Edward Loyal Field (1856 – 1914), signed by J. Haller. The piece, titled Quiet Place, depicts a serene landscape setting with a thatched-roof cottage set against a small pond, rendered in a palette of black against tan. It is signed ‘J. Haller’ in graphite to the lower right, with a notation of ‘Copyright 1890 by Radtke, Lauckner & Co, N.Y.’ in plate to the top left. The print is presented under glass in a black wooden frame with decorative gesso detailing to the front and hanging wire to the verso.

- to Fair; toning and foxing throughout paper; chips, cracks and damage to frame’s gesso details; overall surface wear and scratching to frame.
